Consultation summary
Ewa is ending work with a contractor who had an office key and access to the cameras. She is unsure whether collecting the key is enough.
Key findingReturning a key does not close the matter. Physical items and access to devices must be checked separately.

List every way to gain access.
Ewa lists the keys, remotes and accounts provided. She records the key’s return with the contractor, but this does not prove that no copy exists. If key holders cannot be established, she discusses changing the lock with a locksmith.
Ewa prepares the list before the engagement ends. Any changes concern only access she is authorised to manage.
Every key, remote and camera account has an agreed way to be returned or disabled.
Check camera access separately.
The system owner or installer checks the contractor’s account and signed-in devices. Unnecessary access is disabled with Ewa’s agreement, after confirming that the company retains its own administrator access.
Ewa commissions the system provider. The consultation recommends actions but does not perform them.
The owner receives confirmation of access removal. Anything that could not be checked remains marked as unresolved.
If the access list is incomplete, an on-site review may be the next step. Its scope and price are agreed separately.
