Protection for a few hours or a full day?
Staffing depends on the situation, not just duration. Even a short meeting can require preparation or a larger team.
A few hours may cover one meeting.
An event at one venue may fit the up-to-four-hour option. Agreed arrival, movements and departure must still be included in the schedule.
- State when protection needs to start and end, not just the meeting time.
- Agree what happens if the organiser delays the meeting.
A full day needs a complete schedule.
Several meetings, journeys and venues may require up to eight hours or an individual quote. Travel time also needs to be covered in the arrangements.
- List the venues and people who need protection.
- Travel, overnight stays and round-the-clock protection require separate arrangements. Twenty-four-hour coverage does not mean one person working continuously.
Hours do not determine staffing.
A one-person assignment is possible only after assessment. More protected people, simultaneous tasks or higher risk may require a team.
- Explain why you need protection and what concerns you. Share sensitive details through an agreed channel.
- Check whether the offer includes a vehicle, driver, venue preparation and extra costs.
Ask for clear confirmation before booking.
Confirmation should identify dates, hours, agreed venues, scope and the full price. Extra time requires confirmed availability and terms.
